Used: with a d green stamp of Edw VII Cancelled at WARRINGTON MR 13 05 with a squared circle postmark. Addressed to Byron, 48 London Road, Northwich.
Condition - light wear to corners and foxing evident.
Information - This is a rare postcard of a military establishment in Delamere Forest in July 1903. Numerous Regular & Volunteer Regiments spent most of July 1903 "war-gaming" on a grand scale. The Royal Wesh Fusiliers. the 2nd Volunteer Brigade of the Cheshire Regiment, U Battery, and the Royal Horse Artillery were all involved, maybe others as well.
