Description - GYPSY MOTH at Royal Naval Training Establishment (RNTE) H.M.S. GANGES, Shotley, Suffolk
Date - Photo taken between October 1929 and April 1931 - dated from the written service record of a trainee at the camp between those dates.

Condition -  A superb quality real photograph. with good corners - provenance inscription on the back
Information - A GYPSY MOTH (see decal on side with strong magnifying glass) registration G-AAWU (visible underneath the lower port wing). For details of this aeroplane see the "Civil Aircraft Register - Great Britain" where it is described as a DH60M - Moth. The image shows the aircraft, with engine running, in front of a crowd of trainee sailors at the Shotley base. Probably a unique postcard.
