Description - PICKMERE LAKE, Cheshire - It's correct title is Pick Mere, in the village of Pickmere. Most of the lakes in this part of Cheshire are known as meres. This is how it looked in it's heyday, with a helter-skelter, an Amusement Arcade, Laughter Land and boat trips - what fun, unless, of course you happen to live there. This is how it was, but no more. The quacking of the ducks is the norm nowadays. This postcard is from Nostalgia Ink - a re-print from an earlier original. You can't get the original though, so here is a copy till one comes along probably at 20 times the price.
