Used: Divided back is addressed to Mast(er) Vyvyan Pedrick of 28 Earl's Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent - Message reads: Dear Vyvyan, this is a picture of a french soldier which I thought you would like. Am still expecting some of your drawings. With love from Daddy for you and Mummy. Good clear Postmark from the Army Post Office S.18 (Camiers? in the Pas de Calais, northern France). Also carriers the hexagonal "Passed Field Sensor 1559" stamp
Condition - corners a little worn with a very minor crease at top right.
Further Information - Vyvyan Pedrick - can't be many people called that. Could this young boy be the future British Vice Consul in Spain in August 1941? Yes, it is. - His father (the sender) was a Dentist in real life. and volunteered for one year's war service, This, and other cards came from that year. Vyvyan was five at the time. Look him up on Google - fascinating reading.
