Further Information - WILBUR WRIGHT the famous American aviator came to Europe to demonstrate his skills at controlling a heavier than air craft. He was not only of the first men to fly, but with his brother Orville - who stayed in America for flight demonstrations - they developed the means to control direction, lift, and speed. Previous aeroplanes had only a fixed configuration. He is shown in his airplane called "Flyer"
