Location - Zeebrugge, Belgium  - This shows the important wooden bridge at Zeebrugge, which linked the Shore and the Mole (a solid structure of stone). The HMS Thetis, (now stripped of its normal equipment) heads off to the left to the bridge. The foreground structure is what is left of a wooden pier, purposely destroyed by the Germans.
