This accident is not as bad as it looks
as both locomotives were unmanned at the time. They were being shunted but
got away from the shunter, and finished up across the A406 North Circular
Road at one of London's busiest road junctions A406/A5 for the M1. It was
3:30 in the morning - what a difference if it was 3:30 in the afternoon. I
bet that caused a lovely traffic gridlock during the days following - see
