Used: A ½d green stamp of George V cancelled SUTTON-ON-SEA 25 JY 14 - Posted by Hibbert, and addressed to Green, Caenby Old Hall, Caenby, Lincoln
Condition - A little wear to the corners, the card is sepia coloured (not reddish as the image looks)
Further Information - Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe were friendly competitors and both had tents for hire on the beach at the same time. This card is postmarked 1924, and the Sutton-on-Sea one is postmarked 1914. Maybe the tents disappeared during WW1, but that is at least the time span.
