Further Information - The bank was severly damaged during the late 1800's.. The town suffered terribly, and many buildings were destroyed, or damaged. Here they have jacked up the top storey and are rebuilding the centre one. The building re-opened, and in 1919 became an autonomous part of Barclays Bank, It took the Barclays name in 1940.
