Further Information - This view of Victoria Road is basically the same today, except that the station bridge has been shortened, as it crosses less track now. The Post Office is clear enough, but the Union Bank only has a name on the window at the time of the photograph see enlargement - maybe it has not yet opened as the bank and is being fitted out. Later it would be in large letters above the windows and door. Both the POST OFFICE and the UNION BANK have gone, but the buildings remain, as retail premises.
