Description : A busy day on Market Street, Manchester - view from High Street - This card has a white margin - common from 1913 to 1930 (an easier way of producing and cutting the card)
Date : c.1903-4 (Electric trams started 1903, but no motor vehicles) - Printed after 1913, but before WW1 started as it says "Printed in Bavaria" alongside the stamp box
Size in mm :(approx) - 138 X 88
Publisher : G.D.&.D.L in a star - (Gottschalk, Dreyfus, & Davis - London)
Publisher's Card No. : none
Used : a message in French is written across the whole of the back. It has no address and no stamp. Possibly posted within an envelope. Hand dated 11-9-18 - Written in Avord, France, two months before World War 1 ended, but doesn't mention 'the War'.
Condition : Excellent print quality - slight wear to the corners - a crease at top right corner - printing within a white border)
