Further Information - Real photo of Gerard Street, Ashton in Makerfield. Dated by trolley bus wires (last trolley bus in the area was in 1931. The Union Bank of Manchester, was affiliated with Barclays from 1919 until 1940 when it took the Barclays name. The buildings on the right of this card have gone (church as well) and been replaced by a 'modern' Barclays Bank.
