Used: A 40cme orange stamp on the front - cancelled MONT ST MICHEL - MANCHE (date not readable, but probably 1927)
Condition: excellent, with only the slightest wear to the corners. The front has been used as a jotter at some stage
Further Information: Known the world over, it is one of France's most famous sights. Since the 8th century it has been, at various times, a fortress, religious centre, gaol, and a tourist attraction with its own train station. This postcard shows the steam train leaving Mont St Michel to cross the causeway back to the mainland. The train services ceased a long time ago - not sure when
