Description - Paris, France - La Grande Roue (The Great Wheel)
Date - 1900 - Built for the Paris Exposition Internationale in 1900, this appears to be a very early photo of the wheel. It was 100 metres diameter, the largest in the world for 90 years. It was scrapped in 1920.

Condition - good - with light signs of wear - printed on low quality card, but excellent detail visible.
Further Information - When it was dismantled, its 40 pods were used for temporary housing in WW1, and afterwards fitted to the carts of rag-and-bone men for their work.
