Description : H.M. Submarine "L33" was an 'L' Class submarine built at Swan Hunter on the Tyne in 1919. She must never have fired a shot in anger, as she was sold in 1932
Date : c.1920's
Size in mm :(approx) - 138 X 88 - Standard Size
Publisher : Medway Studios, High Street, Chatham
Publisher's Card No. : none
Used : A 1d red stamp of George V, cancelled GRAVESEND 19 MAY 1930, Addressed to Jones, Cyril Street, Northampton
Condition : The image itself is in good condition, but it appears that it has had thin white paper pasted over the back, probably for privacy reasons. Over the years this paper is getting less, as bits have been removed. There is no damage to the back. I have just removed some more and the back is virtually all visible now. I notice that it appears to have been lightly trimmed on the top edge, although there is still most of the margin remaining. Overall, still a nice looking card
