Used: a 10 cmes red stamp of Cérès (the Sower) with part cancel NANTES LOIRE INFRE 17 6 05 - receiving handstamp is PALLUAU VENDEE 8 JUIN 05. Palluau is a small commune of just over 1000 inhabitants
Condition - Very good with slight wear to the corners, and a small crease behind the stamp
Further Information -  A rarity amongst bridges of the world, as the total number of Transporter Bridges ever built is only in the low 20's, with about half that surviving today. This one straddled the River Loire. The bridge was opened in 1903 and was demolished in 1958.
