Description : London & North Western Railway, 'Precedent' Class, 2-4-0 locomotive number 790 "Hardwicke" The engine had run 2,000,000 miles by 1902. Most of class lasted until the 1930's, but this one, built only 10 miles from here, at Crewe, in Cheshire, is still in existence. It is currently in the National Railway Museum at York
