Description : The Turbine Paddle Steamer "MARCHIONESS of GRAHAM" was built in 1936, and survived with various name changes, and modifications, until the 1970's. This card was written when it was coming to the end of its last season on the Ardrossan-Brodick service.

Used : Cancelled ISLE OF ARRAN 31 JUL 54 addressed to Saunders, Graiseley Old Cottage, Carlton Road, Wolverhampton, Staffs, England
Condition : Written by a young lad on the 'Marchioness' whilst it was tipping about on a choppy sea. Presumable he was pressing on harder, as most of his writing is visible from the front when held to the light, although the card is quite thick. Corners with very slight wear only.
