Subject: The catastrophy of the Pluviose. On 26 May1910, the French Submarine PLUVIOSE collided with the French Paddle Steamer "Pas de Calais" less than a mile from Calais port. The Pluviose sank with the compete loss of life. The "Pas de Calais" made it back for repairs to be made to her bow. This iamge of the Pluviose Memorial at Calais, shows a stualised submarine with the name on the side with (what I think is) an andel trying to get in.
