Location - Newcastle-upon-Tyne - The Castle and Black Gate. The castle was built in the latter half of the 12th century - The Black gate was built in the 13th century, closing the gap in the fortifications of Newcastle. Today they are jointly the tourist attraction of "Newcastle Castle".

Condition - Very clean with vibrant colours. Good corners - has probably been most of its life in the same album. Pressure marks from the album 'corners'
Further Information - An excellent quality colour-print of this great pair of medieval buildings. I remember, over 60 years ago being taken up the castle by my uncle, and was amazed to see Newcastle Central Station, which had the biggest area of diamond crossing railway track in the world - what a sight!
