Description : London & North Western Railway Royal Train, hauled by a Webb "Greater Britain Class" locomotive , number 2053, and named "Greater Britain" (one word over each of the main wheel splashers. The wheel arrangement is almost as rare as the Royal personage which it is hauling - a 2-2-2-2. This arrangement theoretically can't exist under the White's Classification - only if the middle two numbers are bracketted - e.g. 2-(2-2)-2. This is one pair of leading bogies - one pair of large unpowered main wheels - one pair of large powered main wheels, and finally, a pair of trailing wheels. An experimental series of five engines in the class which was not continued.
