Used: A d green stamp of Edw VII cancelled BRIXHAM DE 24 05 addressed to Shrives, Drew Street, Brixham, S. Devon
Condition - just the slightest of wear to the corners - an excellent quality (probably German) colour chrome print.
Further Information - SIR HIRAM MAXIM'S CAPTIVE FLYING MACHINE to give it its full title was aimed at giving the public an experience of flying - one of his own obsessions. It was a great success for many decades and has modern counterparts in many fairgrounds today. The WATER CHUTE was opened in 1903, but didn't last as long as the Flying Machine.
